Category Buyer - Professional Services

Location: Bristol City Centre

Team: Procurement & Specification

Working Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday- Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm.

Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits.

What youll get up to as a Category Buyer

To give you an idea what to expect, youll be:

• Providing professional procurement advice and support across professional services spend
• Maintaining contractual agreements and agreeing commercials
• Formulating category strategy in conjunction with stakeholders
• Promoting and leading effective supplier relationship management
• Managing sourcing processes (including tenders, RFQs, negotiations)

What we look for in you

• An ambitious and driven self-starter, ideally with formal legal knowledge and commercial experience
• A current Assistant Buyer or Buyer with a desire to hit targets and get into a role with opportunity to progress to Procurement Manager over time
• Track record of stakeholder management, ideally interfacing with both technical and project management teams
• Strong negotiation skills and demonstrable commercial acumen
• Ability to build relationships and rapport internally and externally
• Experience in working on high-value IT systems/software procurements
• Most of all, youll be someone who can respect, encourage and connect with the people you work with
