Associate - Assurance - Junior Web Developer - Birmingham
Within Data & Analytics, our Data Technology Solutions centre of excellence based in Birmingham is a specialist team of 19 full time computer programmers and technology enthusiasts who help solve client's problems through the delivery of web enabled technologies. The team's core proposition is to develop innovative subscription based products and services which combine the latest technologies with PwC's deep subject matter expertise and industry knowledge.
You will gain exposure to working with a broad and high profile client base, including FTSE250, financial services and public sector clients. We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for highly motivated and skilled programmers (web and database) who can develop, support and maintain software solutions.ResponsibilitiesAs Junior Web Programmer, you will be responsible for delivering web and data related projects to support our clients. Your work may cover the following
Using wireframe tools (e.g. Axure) to design client websites and applications;
Writing design and functional specifications for software;
Developing websites to collect and analyse data, including dynamic dashboards and reports;
Testing applications to ensure they are secure and meet the agreed requirements;
Providing technical support to resolve bugs and issues in existing applications;
Data analysis to help identify business improvement opportunities for our clients;
Data visualisation.
A solid mathematical and computer programming background is essential, particularly in web and database programming languages. Knowledge and experience of at least two of the following
Website development using one or more of following
C#
ASP.NET 4 or above
MVC
Entity Framework
HTML
CSS
JavaScript and jQuery
UI and UX design capabilities.
Relational database design and programming in SQL (preferably SQL Server) and data manipulation.
