Red Eagle Recruitment (AGY) is looking to recruit a Production Supervisor for our client, an award winning fruit producer in Sittingbourne.
They are looking for an experienced production supervisor to oversee and coordinate the day to day operations of their respective Production Area ensuring the efficient manufacture of food safe legal and quality products.
Responsibilities include:
* To provide strong and decisive leadership and management of all staff within the Team.
* To take a lead role in the induction and retention of staff.
* To ensure regular supervision, appraisal and teaching of staff across the team
* To ensure all information requirements are met through the delivery of required statistics and data and Work Instructions.
* To attend all relevant meetings to ensure that you are actively involved in the planning of production and identification of improvements
* To ensure that all required Factory Master, GMP and quality procedures are adhered to for the department and is supported by correct and completed paperwork and documentation.
* To maintain an acceptable level of personal and food hygiene of both the department and the team
* To monitor sickness and absenteeism, taking remedial action at the earliest possible stage
* To develop and maintain effective systems of production processes throughout the department.
* To ensure that all production and Health & Safety issues are addressed in an effective manner and that all incidents are immediately reported to the Production Manager.
* To investigate complaints and incidents, looking for root cause and identifying actions to prevent recurrence.
* Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
* Carry out other duties that are within the general scope of the post and grade which may be required from time to time
Skills required:
* Reading, writing and understanding instructions, short correspondence and memos
* Effectively presenting information in one-to-one and small group situations to other employees of the organisation.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, circumference and volume.
* Solving practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists.
* Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Working hours alternate weekly between 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm. You will be paid an hourly rate of GBP10.71 per hour with the chance of overtime.
Due to the location of our client, it is essential that you have your own transport.
