A small family run manufacturing business based in Cannock, Staffordshire are looking to recruit a CAD & CAM Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering back ground and CAD/CAM experience to work in a busy and friendly work environment. The suitable candidate will assist the senior draughtsman in meeting the demand for drawings and job cards in line with increased production from the factory. Training will be given to suitable applicant.
Duties and responsibilities
• To produce suitable tool drawings to enable die manufacture in workshop
• Using our bespoke software packages to produce CAM programmes
• Assist with production of job cards as part of manufacturing process.
• Update master job cards as required
• To liaise with production staff
Skills and experience
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Product Design or similar
• Minimum, two years' experience of working with AutoCad or similar
• An engineering background would be an advantage
• Must be computer literate
• An understanding of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of Excel would be beneficial
• Some knowledge of CAM software would be advantageous

Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 07.00hrs - 15.15hrs.
