Based in Stoke on Trent with easy transport links from the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands, Stoke on Trent College is the largest provider of further education in Stoke and North Staffordshire, with around 10,000 students each year on full-time and part-time study programmes, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university-level courses. We also help thousands of local people each year to gain the basic skills needed for work, be it English and maths, employability skills or specific work-related qualifications. Our students routinely win awards in regional and national competitions and the challenge helps to unleash their talent and prepare them for the competitive world of employment.

The Maths team at Stoke on Trent College is at the forefront of innovation in the FE sector.  The team all partake in collaborative planning and work together to produce resources and lesson ideas, thus improving the quality of maths teaching whilst reducing workload.  The team work in a diagnostic way so that they can identify individual needs and group needs and teach the topics that learners need.  There is a good mix within the team of experienced staff and new highly enthusiastic staff.  The team are passionate about improving learner results and feel that we are making strides towards this end.  If you have the energy, drive and ambition to contribute and help towards excellence then this is the place to teach maths. All levels of the maths team are committed to our aims and it is a very supportive environment.
