Workshop Technician- Hampshire

Service care construction are currently recruiting for a Workshop technician in Hampshire.

The position would require the Workshop technician to hold a current full clean British driving license.

The main responsibilities of the Workshop technician role include:

•Inspect and undertake routine maintenance of all vehicles and plant in accordance with the manufacturers recommended service intervals and Hampshire's safety inspection regimes.

•Diagnose and repair faults either found during routine inspections or reported by users in a cost effective manner.

•Inspect and prepare vehicles for annual MOT / Plating and Testing inspection.

•Work with vehicle and plant users to identify and resolve problems.

•Be aware of priority vehicles and work with other members of the workshop team to ensure priority vehicles are dealt with accordingly.

•Complete all documentation required in a timely and accurate manner.
•To act in a way which enhances the reputation of Hampshire Transport Management.

•Actively participate in all training events and identify personal training requirements.

•Be available for standby.

•Attend winter maintenance (road salting) activities, during the night and ensure all dedicated winter maintenance vehicles start.

•Participate in all winter emergency procedures, including where necessary, working additional shifts in order to keep emergency vehicles operating.

Compulsory Qualifications
City and Guilds AVCE
NVQ Level 3 or minimum of 3 years experience in similar role
Full clean British driving licence
HGV class C & E licence

This contract is ongoing, the hours are 08:00-16:30 and working 37 hours a week.
