A leading, independent Multi-Disciplinary consultancy who provide environmental support for projects and companies are now looking for an Ecologist to join their team in Oxfordshire.
Their services include, EIA, ecology, landscape, geo-environmental consultancy, environmental training and sustainability and environmental management.
As an Ecologist you will plan, undertake and manage surveys, including Phase 1/ Extended Phase1 Habitat Surveys and protected species (dusk and dawn bat surveys and others such as badger, otter, water vole etc,) and Contribute to Ecological Impact Assessments.
Essential Requirements;
- Degree or Masters in relevant subject
- Consultancy experience across protected species surveys, habitat surveys and ecological reporting
- Detailed knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy and Environmental Impact Assessment
-Experienced in running small projects.
-Ability to write clear and concise reports.
-Ability to mentor less experience members of the team.
-Current and full driving license.
Applicants must hold at least one English Nature licence and possess exceptional identification skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required for the role as is CIEEM Membership.
