CONTRACT - Technical Support Operations Manager ***

Urgent requirement for an experienced Tech Support Operations Manager to be part of a very exciting piece of work with one of the largest Broadcast Media/Entertainment companies in the world. My client are seeking for someone to be responsible for the overall technical leadership and operational support of their business technology function.

The role is a technically hands-on leadership role, providing database, server, application, and interface development configuration, administration, and support for all applications, integrations, and specialized mobile applications within their Technology Portfolio.

Essential Job Functions:

* Responsible to understand business processes and effectively apply them to appropriate application and technical solution
* Working alongside the Project Delivery Manager, responsible for technical design and delivery of new applications, interfaces, and reporting capabilities
* Responsible to provide expert level, second tier, technical support to the entire portfolio of applications and supporting technologies
* Responsible to manage application upgrades, patches, and fixes
* Responsible to ensure change management processes successful for all application and process changes
* Responsible to lead technical resources, vendors, and business experts to successfully achieve technical solutions

Relevant Previous Work Experience

* 8+ years of experience in applications support of a large and diverse portfolio

* 6+ years of experience providing technical leadership and partnership to business leadership

* 5+ years of experience in software development, including Java, .Net, XML, JSON, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle

* 5+ years of experience in complex systems integrations to financial and other systems

* 5+ years of experience managing solution delivery across a large organization

* 5+ years of experience managing full application lifecycle

* 4+ years of technical team supervisory experience in a large shared resource organization

* experience with systems that support functions such as Scheduling, Facilities Management, Security [e.g. Xytech MediaPulse, PSIM, PlanOn, Salesforce, SQL Server Reporting Services] -- preferred
