Location: Camden, North West London

GSL Education are currently recruiting Early Years Teacher who will be teaching reception class of children aged 4 & 5. The ideal Reception teacher must be experienced and able to inspire, excite and nurture children through a crucial stage of their development.

Our partner school is an "Outstanding" Primary school which follows the EYFS curriculum for Reception class. The school is located at a vibrant community in Camden, North West London. The school have high expectations for all children and work hard to ensure that they meet their full potential by delivering a broad and rich curriculum which provides children with the opportunity to explore, enquire and reflect at each stage of their learning journey.

As a Reception Teacher, you'll be concerned with helping children to achieve early learning goals. You'll need to:

* Motivate and stimulate a child's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience.

* Provide pastoral care and support to children and give them with a secure learning environment.

* Assist with the development of a child's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities.

* Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources.

* Encourage mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play.

* Help children develop curiosity and knowledge.

* Work with others, including teaching assistants and nursery nurses as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors.

* Share knowledge gained with other practitioners and build and maintain relationships with parents.

* Observe, assess and record each child's progress.

* Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery or school.

* Keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Must have the minimum relevant EYFS Teaching qualification or QTS

* Important to have excellent written and spoken English skills

* Knowledge of EYFS is essential.

* Must have excellent time management skills and be able to use initiative

* Ability to lead and inspire practitioners by example

* A positive and friendly manner, as well as excellent communication skills

* Must have relevant experience
