As our Process Risk Manager, you'll support the delivery of the Sainsbury's Bank & Argos Financial Services Operational Risk Framework. You'll be accountable for driving the quality of the Commercial and Marketing teams' ongoing Operational Risk management activities, ensuring that Operational Risks are fully and rigorously identified, assessed, managed and reported.

You will follow a business partner model, providing independent challenge to the Commercial & Marketing division. You'll be accountable for the management of the AFS response to Risk Events and will ensure that the risk data is of the highest quality.

As Process Risk Manager, you will;

Maintain and enhance the processes to ensure clear understanding of process ownership and responsibility. You'll provide proactive guidance and training to the Commercial & Marketing division on the Operational Risk Framework and their roles and responsibilities associated with adhering to it.

Maintain and monitor the annual Process Risk and Control Assessment (PRCA) plan.
Co-ordinate and lead PRCA workshops.
Document and capture PRCA outputs and conclusions.

Deliver a Root Cause Analysis exercise of each trigger event.
Create an action/treatment plan for control fixing activity to return residual risk to within appetite, submitting those plans to governance forums for approval and facilitating approved plans' completion.
Inform stakeholders and accountable Executives on progress of treatment plan delivery.

Act as the conduit for potential Risk Event submissions from the business, via the risk portal, and triage to determine if a true Operational Risk Event within the division has occurred.
Undertake analysis of the individual Risk Events and assign an informed materiality rating.
Manage Risk Event calls and work with Incident Management.
Complete reporting on the Risk Events and manage governance requirements accordingly.
Contribute to, and lead where appropriate, AFS Risk Events including those raised by Argos Retail.

Support the local Risk forum.

Attend Commercial & Marketing meetings to provide guidance, support and challenge to decisions against business appetite.
Work with peers and colleagues across AFS to embed a culture of decision making where operational risk and control management principles are front of mind.

As Process Risk Manager, you will have;

Experience of operational risk management in a Financial Services environment.
A working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and control procedures.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards.
Strong communication skills with proven experience of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills.
