Responsibilities


As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from tax strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and aboveBe involved in the financial management of clientsBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clientsContribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumenDevelop strategies to solve complex technical challengesAssist in the management and delivering of large projectsTrain, coach, and supervise staffKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesContinue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brandRelevant experience (includes but is not limited to)
Delivery of tax advisory services within corporate or indirect taxes that has given you a strong base knowledge of the UK and international tax systemsWorking with clients to establish improved tax processes across corporate or indirect taxesConsidered the use of shared service centre and process transformation to better utilise shared service centre capabilityWorked through the pros and cons of outsourcing and co-sourcing on a range of tax management and compliance mattersExperience of tax technology solutions is helpful and whilst direct implementation experience of one particular software is not required, an interest /awareness across a range of technology solutions is desirable to act as a foundation for advising clients on the pros and consAn interest in the latest developments in extract transform and load technology including how robotics can add value or assist within tax processesSomeone who is comfortable talking to clients and identifying pain points on tax issues generallyExperience in business development activity and managing and developing teams
