Reed Finance are currently partnering with a well-known Financial Services business in the centre of Leeds in the search for a Cost & Investment Reporting Accountant. You will be providing dedicated cost and investment reporting and processing to Business Partners ensuring information is timely, accurate and accessible. Continually driving process improvement to enhance quality of MI and to inform business performance.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Finance Team you will source, analyse and consolidate financial information and report on a monthly and quarterly basis to support the production of financial plans and forecasts at both a departmental and overall group level. As part of your reporting activities you will analyse and provide explanations of performance against the Group Plan and forecasts whilst proactively driving improvement of forecasting and continually identifying opportunities to streamline and automate processes.

Working closely with numerous stakeholders you will promote clear and open communication to cost centre managers and Business Partners, supporting managers to own and lead their own cost base by providing training and education alongside the production of MI.

Experience and skills required:
• You will hold a relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• You will be highly numerate, intellectually strong and capable of digesting and interpreting technical information
• You will be a confident and articulate communicator with a proven ability to manage all internal and external relationships
• You will be well organised, rigorous and methodical with excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines
• Able to identify and address key risks and implications
• Ability to manage your own workload to ensure activities are correctly prioritised and that all interested parties are aware of responsibilities, deadlines and progress
• Adherence to accounting and other policies and practices to allow for clear, easy and simple evidence to all interested 3rd parties
• You will have an awareness of how financial services organisations operate and the associated regulatory environment
