Working for a very successful and rapidly growing Insurance MGA, this is a great opportunity to work within their Credit Control team and to develop your knowledge and career.
You'll have the support of other senior and experienced people while you're developing your knowledge.
Supporting the Credit Control team you'll also be working closely with external parties, mainly to allocate and cash funds and payments and to ensure that the cashbook is up to date and properly managed.
Therefore having Insurance understanding will be important to assist with your understanding of the allocation of payments and flow of monies.
Main Responsibilities of the Accounts Technician role include:
* Updating the cashbook and associated spread sheets.
* Ensuring accurate data entry into the credit control systems.
* Allocating payments and receipts and make the relevant posting to the system.
* Reconciling the monthly settlement statements.
* Chasing outstanding debt and payment with support from the Senior Credit Control Technicians.
* Reconcile incoming cheque payments against the system, ensuring they are paid in and cleared in the bank account on a timely basis.
To be a successful Accounts Technician you will demonstrate:
* Experience in a similar accounts or credit control role.
* Good working knowledge of Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Organised and effective in managing own workloads and deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, used to dealing with clients or customers on the phone.
* Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
