Summary:

Are you a qualified testing professional with ISEB/ISTQB certification, ideally with SQL, Oracle and TOAD? Working for a leading utilities company, the Test Analyst will co-ordinate and execute all non-UAT testing activity, and ensure risks associated with 'go-live' are minimised. The Test Analyst will take ownership of system testing deliverables and of leading and engaging a wider user base. Job Responsibilities:

• Understand various testing techniques, to determine the most suitable to use
• Understand the software development and testing lifecycle
• Plan, script and report on given workstreams
• Bridge gap between 3rd party temp testing and upskilling perm team
• Balance requirement-based testing with scenario-based testing
• Understand how multiple processes and systems work together to perform business functions
• Stakeholder engagement to deliver effective UAT

Experience Required:

• Knowledge of testing automation tools like SOAP UI, Test Complete, QTP, Selenium
• Performance testing tools like Neo Load, Load UI Pro, Jmeter
• Various test methodologies - Waterfall, V-Model, Agile
• Test mgmt. tools - TFS, Test Manager, Jira, HP QC
• Application testing lifecycle mgt - ALM process and tools
• Ideally risk based testing, automated and non-functional testing
• Analytical and logical thinker with attention to detail
• Strong communicator
• Stakeholder Engagement
