Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work within a large public sector organisation on a 1 year fixed term contract. The core function of this role will be the requirement to lead the design and delivery of corporate cross functional process improvement reviews using a range of specialist skills, tools and techniques. As part of this role, the successful applicants will also be required to support the development of a wider awareness of continuous improvement skills throughout the company, including the design and delivery of corporate and local masterclasses.
The duties of the role include:

• Effectively manages the delivery of a project/programme, including planning, implementation and subsequent monitoring, and ensures that budgets and timescales are adhered to and that best practice project management principles and techniques are adopted throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifies project risks and issues for inclusion on the Programme Risk Register and escalating to the Project Board, monitoring and updating accordingly.
• Produces well structured, high quality reports and briefings for the Project Board, senior management and other clientele, outlining recommendations or seeking client approval, as appropriate.
• Monitors, evaluates and reviews the business benefits on a regular basis, in accordance with specified timescales and best project management practice.
• Maintains close and regular liaison with the project assurance and Business Change Manager so that related projects are developed cohesively to enable the outputs to align with the business benefits identified at the start of the programme/projects.
• Drives forward project activities and products, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
• Recognises, understands and monitors the wider complex organisational finance and HR implications as appropriate.
• In consultation with the Senior Business Change Analyst allocates tasks/research to the Business Change Analysts maintaining an overview of progress against targets and project timelines.
• Performs such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have:
• It is essential that applicants have significant experience in leading, designing, developing and delivering corporate cross functional organisational change and improvement programme.
• Applicants will be required to clearly evidence their knowledge and expertise in the successful application of a range of specialist organisational change and continuous improvement skills including lean, business process reengineering, systems dynamics, operational research, business analytics and problem-solving and decision-making
• Possesses a high level of academic ability preferably supported by a degree or equivalent qualification.
• Has a thorough working knowledge of the PRINCE2 project management methodology to a foundation level.
• Significant experience in leading, designing, developing and delivering corporate cross functional organisational change and improvement programme
• Relevant experience of project based work within a large, complex organisation.
• Recent experience of managing change, from conception to implementation and monitoring

Term: Fixed Term - 1 year
Salary: GBP42,918
