Senior Civil 3D Technician
The Opportunity
Our clients' Nottingham office is extremely busy and they are seeking to recruit a Senior Technician to join their Civil infrastructure team.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across all sectors of the development industry.
You will have the opportunity to be intricately involved in the delivery from concept through to construction of a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects, from large mixed-use, residential or commercial / industrial projects through to city centre regeneration schemes.
Their busy multi-disciplinary team works on a diverse range of projects and they are looking for someone to provide technical CAD and design support. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved on several land development projects including Residential, Mixed Use Developments and Highway Improvement schemes.
Key responsibilities / Duties will include:
•Support the civil engineering team in preparing designs, plans and drawings, and input to reports
•Design of Earthworks, Highways, Pavement and Drainage
•Assist with technical approval submissions and preparation of construction details
•Use of CAD (2D and 3D)
•Undertaking 3D engineering design modelling
•Experience of 3D draughting would be advantageous, but not essential.
About You
Capabilities and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic team player and will have/be:
•HNC qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable, but not essential
•Keen interest in civil infrastructure engineering
•Competency in computer aided drawing and the use of AutoCAD
•Experience of using Civils 3D and MicroDrainage (WinDes) is desirable (candidates with experience in similar 3D design packages will be considered if the candidate has no experience in Civils 3D)
•Experience in the use of Autotrack or similar
•Experience in the use of AutoSign
•Self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative
•Confident to liaise with all levels of management both internally and externally
