Estimator - Bid team

Due to growth, the pre-order team of a local manufacturer supplying the construction industry, are looking for an Estimator to join a friendly, hard working team.

The Role

You would be working with Sales Managers and Engineers to create quotes/estimates for materials, labour etc for the engineers/sales managers to take to clients, negotiating/challenging prices with suppliers.

This is an office-based role with some customer liaison when customers might call with repeat requests or certain parts. You would be supporting the sales managers with other aspects including dealing with enquiries and some of the more administrative work.

Role requirements

Experience Estimating in a technical environment

Experience working within a similar environment such as HVAC/building services or mechanical engineering would be ideal but anything related would be considered.

They are after someone who is keen to learn and is self-motivated/enthusiastic.

This would be a great role for someone who is comfortable organising their own work load.

The skills required to carry out the role effectively include proven organisational skills, a confident communicator with experience working with engineers and customer service. You will need to show evidence of strong excel / IT skills and high levels of attention to detail.

You will need some experience of estimating or similar, with experience processing orders and dealing with technical customer enquiries.

The salary for this role is circa GBP25000 to GBP27000 per annum and will be based in Petersfield, there is onsite parking and a great pension scheme plus 25 days holiday (plus B/H).
