UK Resident Engineer

• Ideally, the applicant for the UK Resident Engineer should have an Automotive Industry related successful education and 5 years experience in this automotive and or heavy duty automotive on-road and off-road industry, be familiar with electronic control mechanisms, diagnostics and basic IT skills and to be able to work independently without direct supervision. Experience and knowledge especially in Emission Technologies would be an advantage but are not essential. A clean driving license is essential.

• The RE will be expected to support company products in the real world, settle warranty solutions with a degree of fair impartiality, put improved and practical ideas for field solutions forward to engineers in Germany and co-ordinate and offer technical help with installation challenges and certifications and support products at the customer and operator base.

• The RE is expected to work closely together with the company Representative and Sales Engineer in the UK and Sales, Product Support and Development Personnel in Germany. They will report to the UK based Managing Director and be based and coordinate any appointments and operations from the UK base in Swindon.

• The RE will attend training and product sessions in Germany on a regular basis - initially intensive to be up to speed in all matters relating to products and processes. Interaction with the German colleagues is vital.

• German or language skills would be an advantage but are not a necessity for the right applicant. Travel abroad and to UK locations is part of the position offered.

• The RE is expected to report to the UK based Managing Director and be based and coordinate any appointments and operations from the UK base in Swindon.
