bpha is a major housing association operating between Oxford and Cambridge, based in Bedford. We are a leading provider and developer of affordable homes - for rent, shared ownership, extra care and market sale. We own around 18,000 homes, employ 400 people and have an annual turnover of around £120 million. We have an ambitious development programme that will see delivery of around 3,000 new homes over the next five years making it one of the top 25 of developing associations.
Due to an internal promotion, we are currently looking for a committed and experienced Project Manager to join our friendly and supportive team to be responsible for a portfolio of development projects from build procurement through to completion. These projects will include affordable rent, shared ownership and market sale development schemes.
Acting as the client on behalf of bpha on construction contracts, you will plan, lead and deliver project objectives within the agreed scope, budget and timescales. Working to meet customer and business requirements, you will be involved in managing consultants, overseeing quality and programme on a variety of schemes on site which may include S106, regeneration, design and build and private sale projects.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing projects within housing development or a relevant construction role. The ability to communicate effectively, manage budgets and cash flow and control expenditure is important and you must have strong IT skills with the ability to carry out internal reporting.
If you are customer focused, have a proven track record in project management, enjoy building strong working relationships we would love to hear from you.
In return we offer a modern working environment, competitive salary, car allowance, 28 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, contributory pension, free life assurance, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, free private medical cover, reduced gym membership and canteen.
Closing date: 25 January 2019
