Salary - £23,920/year
40hrs/week full time
Shifts are usually 7 or 8 hours long over 5 or 6 days per week, covering some long days and extra shifts as the home requires.

You will be joining our friendly home to guide, support, and direct a team of carers while on shift, to deliver high quality person-centred care to people living with dementia and related mental health needs.

In the role you will take responsibility to ensure: that all residents are encouraged and empowered to be individuals, to be active and involved, and to retain interests and hobbies as far as possible. As part of this you will lead shifts and coordinate staff in the delivery of care to residents according to individual Care Plans.

Supporting the Registered Manager, and deputising in their absence, you will ensure that a stimulated and caring environment is maintained at all times. Maintaining the highest standards in residents’ health, safety, and well-being. Adhering to their individually tailored care plans at all times.

Essential requirements:
NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 (or an equivalent qualification)
2 years’ experience in dementia care

Desirable requirements:
Specialist Dementia Practitioner or equivalent 
Experience in mental health care 
Experience as a senior carer, care assistant, shift leader, team leader, deputy manager
