A well-established manufacturer of specialist electronic devices is recruiting for an Electronics Technician.

The Electronics Technician will be involved in calibration and repair of equipment as well as manufacturing of new products. Additionally, you will be required to thoroughly inspect customers' equipment on arrival to identify any faults and to carry out repair. The role will also involve assisting with day to day manufacturing activities. This will involve soldering of components and delicate wires onto printed circuit boards, cable assembly and final assembly of our existing products.

Key tasks:

* Manufacturing of range of specialist electronic devices

* Inspecting and reporting on the condition of equipment

* Calibrating and repairing of equipment

* Testing sub-assemblies and parts using electronic test equipment such as multimeters

* Creating new and updating of existing Production Documentation

* Ensuring that customers receive their equipment within a specified deadline

* Analysing customer calibration data

* Work as part of the Production Team to achieve Targets and KPI's.

* Ensure that all works are carried out according to Company Quality and Health & Safety Policies.

Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role. Must have experience in: both surf mount and through hole soldering, handling and wiring of cables assemblies and using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.

ONC or NVQ level 3 in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering and IPC-A-610 is not essential but would be an advantage.
