Our client are a specialist design and manufacturer in the automotive industry, established for over 35 years. They supply leading world-wide manufactures.
Due to their growing and diverse portfolio an exciting job opportunity has arisen for an Automotive/Mechanical Design Engineer.
We are looking for an experienced engineer who will thrive in this fast paced and challenging role. Applicants will have engineering qualifications ideally to Degree level with experience using a 3D-CAD package, ideally Solidworks. The successful applicant will become an integral part of the small engineering team.
The role includes:
* Creating innovative designs from initial proposal through to start of production.
* Communicating with customers and suppliers alike throughout the design process.
* Working with our production department to introduce new designs and also production engineering existing products.
Their niche markets allow them to use their experience and expertise to overcome each vehicles' particular design constraints. The Design engineer role relies heavily on product knowledge and as such the successful candidate would receive all the support and training required to enable them to succeed.
