Development Officer – 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Abercynon, South Wales | £27,248.80 per annum

Cynon Taf Community Housing Group lies in the heart of Rhondda Cynon Taf in glorious South Wales. We’re proud of our deep-rooted history in providing housing and support for the people and communities where we work.

We currently provide 1850 homes for rent, including 5 housing schemes for older people. We also provide a well-respected Care & Repair service for older or disabled people living in privately-owned homes.

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Development Officer who will monitor building works to ensure work is of a high standard.  You will also demonstrate appropriate understanding of the Group and its obligations as a social business.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and will be educated to HND or relevant professional qualification relating to development and/or construction.  Previous experience in delivering housing schemes is also an essential requirement. Awareness of current and future challenges facing social housing is crucial, as will be an appreciation of the need to place tenants at the heart of an effective and efficient asset management strategy.

Due to the nature of the role you will hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
