A prestigious Witham based Independent family company have vacancies for a Skilled Operator to support their busy production operation within their 'Bulk function. The company continues to experience rapid growth and there are great opportunities for a Skilled Production Operator to join a highly successful business.

You will have experience of working in a safety culture and to high standards of quality in a quality controlled environment. Ideally you will have some formal safety qualification.

As a Skilled Production Operator in Bulk you will be accountable for running a variety of filling machines or creating bulk liquids, blends or supporting and running the inbound and outbound tanker schedule. You will have some experience of leading a team of unskilled operators. You will have experience of working in a safety culture and to high standards of quality in a quality controlled environment. Ideally you will have some formal safety qualification. You will be responsible for decision making and planning the requirements of your areas to ensure output is achieved at the right safety and quality standard. You will be target driven with a desire to lead by example.

Experience required;

Experience of working within a production line environment, ideally FMCG, and running and changing machines over
Experience of leading a team and leading and running temporary labour (via a Recruitment Agency)
A minimum of 3 GCSE passes at grade A-C including maths or equivalent.
Ability to complete induction training for new staff and maintain standards
Experience risk assessments
Experience of stock control
Trained and competent in 5S improvement techniques
A willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and good numerical skills
Basic level computer skills
Flexibility and a team work ethic

This role will involve the delivery of production targets either on the filling lines, the creation of the correct blends to plan or the in or out-loading of tankers to the tanker plan. Liaison with planners, hauliers, logistics, bottling and Customer service team members is essential therefore good communication skills are required. Accurate data inputting and recording is required in this role.
