Purchasing Assistant
Location: Gloucester
Profile: Permanent opportunity with established, successful, friendly company that operates globally.
Salary: GBP20000 - GBP22500 per annum doe plus company bonus
Hours: Mon - Fri days
Skills and Experience:
* Administration experience essential
* Good communication skills with ability and confidence to liaise with major suppliers to control scheduling and negotiate.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Experience of working in engineering or manufacturing environments, used to liaising with shop floor personnel
* Good working knowledge of Sage & Excel
* Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable
* demonstrable interest in working in a procurement, buying role
Key Accountabilities :
* Liaising with major suppliers.
* Updating stock levels
* Allocating stock to works orders
* Investigating and correcting invoice queries.
* Raising and emailing purchase orders as required.
* Running various stock and purchasing reports within Sage and converting to excel
* Monitoring / processing data during the annual stocktake.
* Obtaining quotations for new and current production - parts.
* Investigating possible new suppliers.
* Booking in stock deliveries.
* Shop floor liaising.
