- 20 days’ paid holiday plus 8 statutory days (rising after 2 years’ service)
- Hourly pay rates of up to £10 per hour, subject to experience and shift
- 40 hours per week
- Full training in plant operations
Role and Responsibilities
As a Powder Coating Operative, you will be responsible for the powder coating of manufactured products using an Electrostatic Powder Coating gun in a spray booth on a conveyor line according to specification.
You’ll demonstrate the ability to spray powder to the correct thickness range. Working as part of an experienced powder coating team, you will have the versatility to spray to a good standard a range of products from aluminium extrusions, large flat surfaces and awkward profiles. You’ll ensure work is completed to the highest quality within specification, with complete kit and correctly labelled.
- Cleaning down electrostatic spray guns and spray booths correctly
- Maintaining the spray gun parts and booths according to instruction
- Adhering to all Health and Safety legislation
- Full training will be given on all our plant operations
To be considered as a Powder Coating Operative, you will need:
- Experience of using a manual spraying system (training given)
- The ability to prepare parts for powder coating (training given)
- The ability to work as part of a team
- The ability to work to targets
Ideal candidates will also have experience of working within a similar powder coating environment. However, this is by no mean essential.
Please note, this is a shift-based role with varying rates dependent on the shift pattern (6-2 & 2-10).
Shift rate, £9 to £10 per hour.
