Background
The Royal College of Chiropractors (the RCC) is a professional membership organisation and a registered charity. The RCC provides a wide range of membership resources and services and, since its launch in 1999, has been running the national postgraduate training programme and a UK-wide programme of educational events for established chiropractors. Situated in Caversham Heights, the RCC provides a pleasant working environment with free parking.
The main role of the Office Administrator is to provide administrative assistance to the Membership Officer and the Events Officer.
Duties and responsibilities
Supporting in the administration of membership services, including:
- Assisting with the processing of membership applications
- Assisting with maintaining the membership database and hard copy files
- Issuing membership certificates
- Responding to membership enquiries
Supporting in the organisation of educational events, including
- Assisting with the marketing of events
- Assisting with event administration
- Registering delegates, including taking payment information
Assisting with the administration of the postgraduate training scheme, including:
- Registering candidates
- Maintaining and distributing programme information
- Monitoring candidate progress
- Dealing with relevant enquiries
General duties:
- Answering the telephone and directing calls
- Receiving and distributing post
- Managing general emails and distributing appropriately
- Assisting with membership communications and mailings
- Organising catering and preparation for internal meetings
- Assisting with financial administration
- Data entry
- Supporting the team with ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the office

Other Information
- Working Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Part-time, flexible working hours considered)
- Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 per annum
- Annual Leave: 28 days including bank holidays
