We are recruiting for an experienced Continuous Improvement Electrical Engineer to work for a large manufacturing company located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
THE DUTIES:
The duties will include:
* Supporting and contributing towards the drive for continuous improvement initiatives encompassing people, safety, quality, service and costs.
Essential functions include:
* Manufacturing floor layouts.
* Value stream mapping.
* Continuous improvement activities.
* Standard work rate setting.
* Time and motion studies.
* Product and process flow.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
* Experience working in an Engineering or a FMCG environment
* A working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques ie: 8D Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5'S, SMED, OEE, TPM standard work rate setting, process improvements, Value Stream mapping and translating data into space plans and floor layouts.
* Minimum 2 years experience of computerized planning and scheduling techniques associated with modern manufacturing (Excel and MRP).
* Formalised lean manufacturing training.
* Good level of IT, communication and presentation skills.
* Apprentice trained Electrician with 17th Edition regulations qualification.
THE HOURS:
You will work 8am to 5pm (Monday to Friday).
THE PACKAGE:
You will be paid a basic salary of between GBP38,000 and GBP41,500 / annum (depending on experience). plus other excellent benefits associated with an outstanding company
