SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Duration: 3 months
Location; Chertsey
Purpose: To perform the role of a Senior Systems Engineer on communication and underwater acoustic/sonar projects including the generation of complex mathematical models.
Essential Skills & Experience;
The ability to develop complex mathematical models to simulate and assess system design performance using MATLAB/Simulink.
Able to validate mathematical models and design against empirical trials data
Conduct Systems Engineering design and development activities
With Sonar Processing Knowledge
Capable of working as part of a multidisciplinary team or working independently
Have the ability to take the role of System Design Authority on project(s) when required
Desirable Skills & Expertise
Knowledge of analogue design
Signal processing knowledge
The ability to analyse and specify system acceptance requirements
Experience of full system lifecycle, design, development, testing, integration and acceptance
A knowledge of modern software design techniques in C++, Java & C#
Understanding of network technologies
Experience of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Appreciation of HCI design/coding
Preparation, support and review of project documentation
Qualifications
Ability to attain DV or SC UK security clearance
BSc Degree in Engineering, Maths or Science subject or equivalent
Member of a professional Engineering or Science Institute
Sonar, communication systems or mathematical modelling course
Ability to adhoc travel within the UK
