Our Specialist SEN Branch here at Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, to join us to work for our client SEN school near Cardiff just off the A4323.

This position is full-time and involve working with Primary aged students with Physical disabilities. The ideal candidate should be able to be happy to work in the classroom as well as outside. There will be regular swimming sessions.

The school tends to provide small, specialist learning environment which meets pupils' not only education but also medical, social and care needs. The ideal candidates will support young people with physical disabilities with ease as well as provide personal care. You must be a Special needs LSA with previous experience of supporting young people in Primary ages.

The school is within good public transport links and ample on site and on street parking available. They are within easy reach from areas such as the City of Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend and Rhondda Cynon Taf.

To join us and be successful in this exciting Teaching assistant position, you will need to:

  • Have SEN experience in a school or care setting and ideally have PMLD experience.
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
  • Have a CV covering at least 6 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
