HR & General Administrator - Job Description

Role Overview

The HR & General Administrator will be responsible for maintaining HR Processes and Procedures including Employee Details and attendance records. In addition the role holder will be required to support the Senior Management Team with all HR related matters and liaise with employees regarding queries. Working 15 hours per week over five days, there will also be a requirement to undertake general administrative support relating to a wide variety of other business related matters.

Duties

Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, including personal details, requirements for payroll and contract details.

Responsible for maintaining all HR Related Policies and Procedures ensuring compliance.

Being the first point of contact for the Management and Team and Employees with regard to HR Matters.

Assisting the management team in HR Related Meetings by taking minutes or notes as required.

Following up meetings with appropriate documentation / letters as appropriate.

Liaising with employees and outside contractors to arrange meetings as and when necessary.

General Administrative duties to support the Senior Management team.

To participate in maintaining a pleasant working environment for everyone by participating in Health, Safety & Hygiene duties as and when required by the Management Team.

All other reasonable requests by management to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Person Specification

At least 3 GCSE Grade C and above including Maths & English.

Well presented with good communication skills.

Be able to deal with sensitive matters in a professional and respectful manner.

Numerate and literate with at least 2 years experience within an administrative role.

Intermediate IT Literacy, ideally with experience of data based systems, and all Microsoft office packages.

Able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.

Be able to prioritise workload and deal with several matters alongside each other with the ability to stay calm and focused at all times.

Have a genuine interest in developing their knowledge of HR Systems and Practices.
