We are thrilled to be working exclusively with our client as they progress with their new Restaurant opening close to York.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Head Chef to join the business from concept to pre opening.

Independently owned, with ambitious and very realistic plans they are set to open this Easter.

This is to be a food led, destination spot. Somewhere people will travel for an occasion, a place for folk to meet for Cocktails, for business lunches and Professionals to host seminars etc.

There will be space for 130 covers, this will include a number of different rooms, and busy bar. Alongside this there is space for alfresco dining, one under cover area and one outdoor area being further developed.

The opportunity for a you as Head Chef ,to have autonomy is evident here as you manage the food side of the business on behalf of the owners.

Concept is Modern British, all fresh produce. From light breakfasts/brunches to A La Carte. Your creativity will be welcomed as will be your passion for great food

You will enjoy a brand new kitchen with a decent budget for equipment and an open invitation of input from the owners.

As an experienced and proven Head Chef, you will be responsible for the full Kitchen Operation from Recruiting Chefs, to HACCAP, Hygiene, Ordering, Staff Development, Rota's, Supply etc.

You will be of calm demeanour and have an ability to lead a team through example and experience. The kitchen design will be open and visible to patrons.

The package reflects the owner's understanding of the importance and responsibility of this key role. They want to pay a Head Chef their worth and the offer of Equity is there also for those committed and interested.

Salary up to GBP40,000 basic plus equity share

Hours - Full time and permanent. The Restaurant will open from 8 am to Close

A strong and experienced Head Chef will create a Rota suited to the full brigade. 5 days over 7.

Last restaurant orders Sunday to Thursday 9.00 pm and Friday to Saturday 10.00 pm.
