Our client is a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who offer professional and independent advice to a wide range of clients throughout the UK. They are now looking for a talented Assistant Ecologist to join their busy team in Buckinghamshire.
Role responsibilities will include a wide range of field surveys over the busy survey season, alongside office-based work such as day-to-day data analysis and management, input to fee proposals & attendance at team meetings. Typical survey's you will be regularly involved with include great crested newts, bats, water voles and badgers
Essential requirements:
-A relevant degree as a minimum is required
-Great Crested Newt licence (advantageous)
-At least 2 years' experience in ecological consultancy
-GIS capability and/or previous experience of surveying and mitigation will be an advantage
-A working knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy and guidance is essential as are project management capabilities, communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
