Experimental Physicist / Senior - Fluidics - Cambridge

A market leading developer of scientific instruments within the Cambridge cluster are actively looking for experienced an Experimental Physicist to join their team of highly skilled engineers and scientists to work on state-of-the art technologies.

As an Experimental Physicist, you will be charged with leading the development of the company's innovative micropump technology. You will be exploring all aspects of R&D and testing and looking at new ways to commercialise the technology and to improve efficiency and reliability.

This exciting new role will give an experienced Experimental Physicist an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge products at the forefront of the scientific instrumentation sector within a highly innovative and forward thinking commercial environment.

The company is well established but have a real start-up feel to them. You will take charge of the development process on this product, from initial concept through to delivery and commercialisation.

To be considered for this exciting Experimental Physicist role you will need to have a high scoring degree in Physics or related subject from a leading university as well as commercial experience gained working in a fast paced environment. Although this role will be focused on fluidics it is important you have a broad knowledge of physics including; acoustics and mechanics. COMSOL experience is also needed as is fabrication and a basic understanding of CAD.
