Job Description:
Our client is looking for CAE/FE Analysts (x3) to support Naval development projects based in Glasgow.

Position Description:
Experienced CAE/FE Analysts with engineering background are required to support ongoing client projects working on the development of Naval structures. Ideally with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive, Aerospace, Oil & Gas etc.), you'll have a solid understanding of engineering principles and structural load cases (static and dynamic stress assessment). Candidates should have broad experience with the design and development of mechanical components/structures, ideally related to military / Naval / aerospace etc. and be able to provide support to other engineers on analysis techniques and software functionality. The ability to run optimisation analysis in support of component development would also be of
benefit for this role. Prior experience of Naval structures would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite for this role.

The engineer will have the following:
- Engineering background and 3-5 years experience running FE analysis;
- Excellent Nastran OR Optistruct skills for both modelling and analysis;
- Ability to support other engineers with analysis techniques and software functionality.
- HyperWorks experience for pre/post processing and complex modelling/optimisation;
- Optimisation experience in the support of component development (topology, size and shape);
- OEM or engineering consulting background;
- Experience of working within a team of CAE Engineers;
- Understanding and appreciation of a variety of manufacturing processes - castings, forgings, extrusions etc.;

Skills Required:
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and deliver on CAE targets;
- Committed, flexible and able to work under pressure as part of a team;
- Excellent communication skills for vehicle cross-functional discussions and CAE delivery.

Education Required:
- Degree Educated demonstrating CAE experience/training.
