Voluntary & Community Sector Development Officer (M298) 

Grade S02 (SCP 32 -34) £29,055 - £30,756 plus Essential Car Use Allowance Full time, fixed-term, (initially 9 months – but may be extended to 12 months) in the Neighbourhood Management Team

The Officer role is to work with Charnwood based organisations within the Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) to provide support and advice to help build their resilience and capacity, so they are well placed to provide services and support to their ‘communities’.

The role will also support the delivery of the relevant elements of the Council’s Corporate Plan and take responsibility for ensuring the VCS organisations continue to be key partners in the Borough, along with managing the Charnwood Community Lottery. You will have experience of work involving voluntary and community sector groups, inter-service working, partnership working and demonstrate skills to help organisations to develop their capacity, including business & financial planning.
