AS&T are currently recruiting experienced Welder Fabricators to work on a Permanent contract with our new client based near Wombwell, Barnsley South Yorkshire.
Salary:
Shift pattern: Pay Advanced Pay
06.00am - 14.00pm GBP9.40 no shift allowance GBP10.45 no shift allowance
14.00pm - 22.00pm GBP12.50 inc shift allowance GBP13.90 inc shift allowance
22.00pm - 06.00am GBP13.16 inc shift allowance GBP14.63 inc shift allowance
Job Purpose:
Welder Fabricators are responsible for working accurately to engineering drawings, product structures, and work orders performing welding, fabricating and related operations, utilising safe working methods, to achieve high quality weldment's in line with company-accepted standards, and standard operating procedures, with minimum supervision.
Role Responsibilities:
Working accurately and within specified tolerances, to engineering drawings, product structures and work orders, and at company- specified pace of work:
• Contributing towards the achievement of the departments strategic and operational targets and overall business aims.
• Ensure that all the Policies and procedures are adhered to as specified within the ISO Quality manual.
• Select and use appropriate tools, equipment, and PPE for the tasks.
• Use welding equipment and accessories, gases, scissor lifts, G-clamps, cranes, jibs, strops, pallet trolleys, grinders, sanders, hand drills, etc., as appropriate, utilising safe working methods.
• Selection, laying out and fabrication of metal weldment's and assemblies.
• Continually check work to maintain quality of weld.
• Quality of finished welding operation (grinding undertaken as necessary) to be to company accepted standards.
• Maintain the 5S standard within your working area at all times.
• To complete the welding of the product within the time specified.
• Exercise proper care of tools, materials and equipment.
• Maintaining an completing records as required under company procedures.
• Any other duties within the capabilities and training of the individual in line with the needs of the company.
• To attend training organised by the company in-house or off-site.
• To maintain confidentiality regarding the company finances, plans, products, suppliers, customers, designs, manufacturing processes during and subsequent to termination.
• At all times to present the professional image in line with company standards.
• All duties to be carried out utilising safe working methods and appropriate PPE, with due regard to the Health and Safety, COSHH and other relevant legislation.
