Our client is a charitable organisation managing more than 6,000 homes and supporting hundreds of people to lead independent lives.

You will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively with internal and external staff and tenacity to see things through.  You will have the ability to make informed decisions quickly in order to resolve problems and being able to evaluate options and recommend solutions.  Be fully conversant with current Health and Safety and fire safety regulations.

Based across the Quality Assurance Team and SAMS (Support and management Service) you will play a key part in driving forward the quality of their properties.

You will inspect the overall condition of properties on a rolling programme, ensure it is being used as intended, repairs are being reported and completed to a good standard, damages are being rectified or recharged, complete and sign off low risk fire risk assessments and ensure that external support providers are meeting their obligations in relation to the management of the building.

Their ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to work as a member of the team and promote cross-team working in order to achieve performance.
  • Be fully conversant with current Health and Safety and fire safety regulations and holding a relevant qualification (such as a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • Ability to carry out Health and Safety inspections in relation to fire.
  • Ability to solve problems

Working Hours: 30 hours per week Monday – Friday
