Aston Students' Union is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Advice and Support Manager (Lead Adviser) to manage and lead our established and highly rated advice service. In the last 2 years the students have rated the service as the highest in the satisfaction survey of all Aston University student services. We want to cement and build on this success.

Applicants should have proven experience within the advice sector. You will manage the Advice team to ensure the highest quality advice is provided. You will take the service forward to achieve the Advice Quality Standard (AQS). You will act as Lead Adviser carrying out advice and casework and we expect this to take up around 50% of your time within the role.

You will be responsible for the departmental advice budget and making sure that the finances of the area are managed appropriately. 

In addtion to managing the advice team, you will manage the Students' Union Welcome Desk to achieve excellent service standards and a friendly and welcoming reception to the Students' Union.

Experience of the advice sector, managing a team and a positve can do attitude is essential.
