A successful independent building services consultancy has, due to planned expansion, an immediate vacancy for a lead mechanical engineer at Associate or Associate Director level. This is a strategic position and their is a clear defined path through to Director level.
The main responsibilities would be to deliver large complex and niche projects on time and to the highest technical standard along with management support.
You would need to be both a team player working within the group assisting the more senior engineers along with helping and encouraging the more junior members, as well as having the initiative to work alone.
You would monitor the quality control on projects to ensure the company quality standards are being achieved, prepare calculations /specifications and drawings, ensuring they comply with the clients brief.
You would also have the opportunity to be involved in business development, personal and team management and client relations.
To be considered you must have at least 8 to 10+ years' building services mechanical design experience in the UK preferably in commercial and high-end residential roles.
You should have project management experience and be equally happy preparing mechanical designs as well as taking overall responsibility for multidisciplinary projects. Be as equally happy preparing mechanical designs as taking overall responsibility of multi-discipline projects.
This is a client facing role so you should have excellent business acumen and communication skills.
You should be degree qualified and Chartered or Chartered eligible and a member of CIBSE or IMechE
