Position: Structural Packaging Designer
Location: East Sussex
Salary: 25-30k

Our client based in East Sussex is looking for a Structural Packaging designer to join the studio team.
The company design distribute and manufacture innovative corrugated and carton solutions, from standard packaging to full POS display.
They are looking for a designer to produce innovative 3D design sketches and computer generated, (CAD), 3-dimensional visuals and proto-types from concept
Prepare plans, designs and specifications ready for estimating
Prepare quotes for established design concepts, establishing costs and financial viability
Develop creative concepts, in accordance with client brief and budgets, including sample cutting and dispatch
Produce customer samples for approval
Carry out first time order checks in Production
Liaise with internal and external clients, providing technical expertise and production support, at the highest level of customer service
Calculate costings for cutters and stereos
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
Strong and proven background within CAD design for the carton/ packaging sector
Able to create and design accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
Understand our manufacturing capabilities and ensure designs are developed to maximise efficiency and cost
Working knowledge of non-complex artwork and print
Experience in a structural or production design background, (ideally packaging or POS related)
Technical knowledge & attention to detail; including knowledge and experience of using CAD, Adobe Creative suite, Microsoft Office and Kasemake
The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment
A working knowledge of packaging materials.
