HR Services & Projects Manager


Salary: GBP55,000 plus Car allowance plus bonus

The Company:

Eileen Richards Recruitment is working with one of our reputable and thriving clients based in Leicestershire. Our client is a leading Midlands Business who has been highly successful over the past 30 years and has really taken their industry by storm.

Our client is now looking for an HR Services & Projects Manager who will develop and lead a robust and proactive HR Services and Projects function across the business.

Role & Responsibilities of the HR Services & Projects Manager:

Responsible for providing guidance and advice on all Employee Relations matters, leading the HR policy agenda, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, leading recruitment and onboarding, delivering projects (people, process and technology) which support the Company's People Plan, and providing effective management information across the business, enabling improved business performance and capability.

The role holder will work collaboratively with the HRBPs, ICBP and L&D Manager to identify areas of opportunity for improvement,

Business Performance:

* Development & execution of the functional People Plan, working with wider HR team to cover HR, L&D and Internal Comms.

* Use of workforce and functional performance insight to drive relevant actions.

* Develop, manage and improve HR metrics in conjunction with fellow HR team members, embedding management of those performance metrics with line managers.

* Oversight of the organisation including, structure, headcount and reporting hierarchies and ensuring accurate reflections in HR systems.

* Provide coaching, feedback and challenge to Managers on the implementation of people policies and procedures.

Risk Management:

* Provision of expert professional HR advice and guidance in line with current legislation and company policies and procedures;

* Manage HR compliance requirements in relation to employment law, GDPR and other areas of statue as required.

* Proactive and commercially astute management of all tribunal / employee claims, liaising with external legal teams as required.

* Identify areas of improvement required in the business, and develop capability improvement plans across the business.

HR Service:

* Provide support to the HR Director on strategic initiatives as required e.g. gender pay reporting and supporting initiatives, Organisational design frameworks.

* Alignment of reward programmes to the reward strategy and support to managers re: decisions.

* Implementation of HR processes and policies, ensuring they are developed as required from a legal and business perspective.

* Oversight of the industrial relations agenda to ensure it aligns with the wider IR strategy.

* Contribution to the development, execution and governance of the Company's HR strategy and plan, including budget development and delivery of identified projects.


* Keep abreast of HR technology and best practice solutions for delivery of services

* Deliver HR improvement projects (people, process and technology) to ensure that the HR processes are efficient and effective, whilst engaging the employee base (e.g. Employee and Manager self service)

* Manage suppliers / delivery partners to achieve delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.

About You as the HR Services & Projects Manager:

* Previous experience of working in a HR Shared Service role in fast paced organisation

* Proven experience of managing across multiple functional disciplines

* Proven track record of improving business 'people' performance

* Track record of change management and successful delivery of HR projects across people, process and technology

* Strong analytical and capability

* Experience of TUPE transfers, and business integration

* Leading recruitment, onboarding and employer brand initiatives with strong employment law knowledge

* Experience of working in a multi-site environment is essential

* Effective communicator & influencer at all levels

* Personable and pragmatic as well as being an effective coach with an open and honest style

* Structured and planned with a strong track record of delivering to deadlines

* Confident and able to create and deliver presentations to a wide audience, along with being commercially astute.

* Experienced in working with H.R. systems and competent in Word, Excel, Business Objects & Powerpoint

Ideally CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum)
