Your new role
You'll be working as a Credit Controller and will be responsible for collecting debt and taking payments within the SLA of your debtor ledger and client agreements, communicating with customers by phone and email. You'll need to make regular contact with clients maintaining an excellent working relationship collecting outstanding payments in accordance with debt value and age, managing invoice queries, logging collection notes, analysing and reporting on data, reconciling customer accounts and other ad hoc duties.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to have between 2 and 5 years of experience within a similar role and ideally have experience of both high value and high volume collections. You'll ideally be CICM or AAT qualified or be a part qualified accountant although other experience will be considered. You'll need to be customer focused with experience of dealing with difficult situations and have experience of negotiating. You'll need to be numerate with excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets. You'll also need to have an excellent working knowledge of finance software and Excel (VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables).
What you'll get in return
You'll be needed for 12 months with the view to being made permanent and will be paid the equivalent of GBP23,000-GBP27,000 per annum. You'll work a 40 hour week in a recently renovated office space in a central location close to a plentiful supply of local amenities.
