This global provider of information and analysis is adding to its small and dynamic sales team based in their Manchester office. They are seeking a hungry, intelligent Business Development Manager (BDM) to help look for new business opportunities in the Financial Markets selling the client's Compliance and credit solutions. The ideal BDM will have a can-do attitude and a desire to learn how to sell software and information-based services and take their existing sales skills to the next level.

Thorough training and mentorship designed for you will develop the experience needed to become a world-class tech sales professional and build a long -term.

Responsibilities include:

Heads down research:You will help your team find "best fit" companies to sell into. This involves a great deal of digging and problem solving to find the right people and contact information.

Cold calling:Your role on the team is to fill up the sales pipeline by setting up meetings with potential clients. A major part of this job is picking up the phone and talking to new people daily.

Qualifications and Skills

You will be Degree qualified with some experience in internet searching/databases. You should be a great communicator, someone who enjoys talking to people and switching things up when you hear the word "no". You will be a keen learner, not only through your mentor but you are someone who drives their own learning through self-study.

* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field

* 3 years+ of experience in a sales position

* Experience with Internet searching, databases, CRM upkeep, and social media is helpful

* Comfortable with numbers, analysis, and financial business info
