JOB PURPOSE:

Working closely with General Manager - and liaising with site accountant and site managers you'll be involved with the organising of site KPI and OEE, budgets, planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes and targets. Close interaction with area Dept heads on ensuring the management team understand what their daily. weekly / year end KPI are, and what the level of success is needed to allow the plant to manufacture efficiently and so the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality

MAIN DUTIES:

• Working with Operations team to Arrange, assign, adjust and monitor shifts to have apt coverage at all times in line with daily targets to be achieved.

• Working with Production manager on the deliverance of OEE key performance indicators for Production team.

• Along with senior team Maintain manning compliance working to sites establishment, reporting absence % vs targets, return to work completion, and supporting (And challenging) managers on completion of all RTW within 24 hours of return.

• Supporting Operations and production plan on a daily basis, communicating the requirements for the day to all departmental supervisors.

• Work Closely with Production Planner to resolve any discrepancies and verify daily figures

• Control direct labour payroll and holidays for site

• Attend daily - weekly meetings taking minutes and sending out to key people in the business.

• Design and plan capex projects supporting General Manager for implementation

• Raise and maintain Purchase Orders for Raw material - non-stock items for Production

• Be the sites super user for P.O on site, overseeing correct ordering and SOP is being followed by all key stakeholders

• administration of setting up supplier accounts

• Support all manager's budget spend - responsibilities and weekly / monthly spend.

• Manage the production assistant's role and responsibilities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly pack for senior management meetings

• Cover planning role as when holidays occur

• Publish sites weekly KPI and send to all relevant managers

• Order following weeks' raw materials from weekly raw materials meeting

• Arrange interviews for new starters working with area managers

• Manage sites holiday chart

• Attend meeting with managers to record minutes

• Manage sites occupational hygienist

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Required Criteria/Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• Excellent organisational and follow-up skills; competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.

• Understanding of payroll administration

Commercial Awareness

• Understands the business environment in which the Company operates and considers the wider impact of their decisions and actions on other parts of the operation

Cost saving measures to support long term strategy of the business

Technical Understanding

• Project control and costing techniques / Cost efficiencies

• Understanding of OEE will be an advantage

IT & Systems Knowledge

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft word and Excel

• Can use Cost saving tools

• Experience of MRP/ERP systems and how to optimise to suit changing requirements.

Other Skills

• Must have the right level of judgment, drive and influence to successfully inform and drive the business agenda with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
