Assistant Town Planner | Birmingham

GBP22,000 GBP26,000 + Full Benefits

Commercial Division of a large planning consultancy currently require a dynamic Assistant Town Planner with 6-12 months commercial experience (Public or Private) looking to complete their APC, whilst working on Midlands based planning projects.

Seen as a position for a Graduate Town Planner with a placement year, or an Assistant Town Planner looking to work for an industry leading consultancy.

Key Duties include:-

* Assisting in the submission of planning applications, including research into local development plans, historical precedents and potential site restrictions.

* Attending site locations, to assist in detailed development appraisals and reporting findings (verbal and written) to the Senior Town Planner or project lead.

* Actively supporting other members of the team, and where required working independently, ensuring that all work is in line with project guidelines and that deadlines are met.

* Maintaining a thorough understanding of planning legislation and regulations within the UK, whilst keeping an up to date logbook for future submission.

* Work closely with the client and developers, ensuring that a professional engaging service is offered at all times.
