Training Area Operative
Landmarc support services are currently recruiting for Training Area Operatives to work across Longmoor Military ranges.
As the Training Area Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out any duties within your capability to maintain and patrol the Military Training Estate.
Please note, this role will be on a rotating shift pattern, 4 out of 7 days a week.
What you can do:
* Map Reading
* 4x4 LANTRA Off-road
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* H&S awareness and appreciation of dangers on live ranges
* Able to loan work and remain focussed / objective
* Physically able to drive a 4x4 on rough terrain, operate in harsh rural conditions
* Operate IT systems
* Work as a team
* Appreciation and understanding of the rural environment including Archaeological and Environmental awareness
* Work un-sociable hours, sometimes in night conditions
What you know:
* Knowledge in H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessment and safe systems of work
* Have an experience as a range/training area user (desirable)
* Have a full drivers licence valid in the United Kingdom
* Basic IT skills
* Willingness to undertake training to work in high risk areas
* Ability to work un sociable hours
Landmarc Support Services Ltd manage and maintain over 220,000 hectares of land across the United Kingdom on behalf of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (part of the Ministry of Defence). This land is used to provide realistic and challenging terrain for military training and comprises some of the most important and remote landscapes in the country
