Junior Product Manager - Health & Beauty Products Development
Basingstoke, RG25
GBP27,000 + annual performance bonus, private healthcare after 1 year, pension plan, life assurance scheme, flexi time working
Who we are:
We specialise in own label and exclusive brand development in the health and beauty category in UK and northern Europe.
The Junior Product Manager Role:
Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Product/Account Manager, you will undertake the day to day running of the accounts, managing the lifecycle of a portfolio of products as well as launching new products.
Junior Product Manager Main Responsibilities include:
+ Proactively complete internal and customer paperwork
+ Detailed stock management and analysis, discussing any issues with line manager
+ Day to day communication with customers and simple problem solving
+ Developing objectives for meetings and developing appropriate presentations and agendas for meetings, to be reviewed by line manager
+ Writing pack copy
+ In depth analysis of sales data and market information
+ Briefing artwork and proofing
+ Sourcing packaging
+ Organising production samples and product mock ups
+ Managing a straight forward critical path, forward planning and pro-active communication with all stake holders
+ Awareness of the market and any trends which may be of interest or affect your customer
+ From time-to-time organising new product testing and attending meetings and print runs in the UK and Europe
+ Attending customer meetings with your line manager but taking an active role in the meetings
Junior Product Manager Required Role Competencies:
+ Graduate calibre with some experience in a similar role
+ Attention to detail and accuracy
+ Analytical skills
+ Ability to plan, prioritise and organise
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Multi-tasking
+ Experience and confidence with Excel spreadsheets
+ Powerpoint & presentation skills
+ Polite and confident telephone manner
+ An interest in retail and the hair care and sun care market
+ Full UK driving licence with use of car and willingness to travel overseas to Europe on occasion when required
