Project Managers in Aldermore's IT teams work across the business to ensure a secure and reliable IT infrastructure that enables everyday efficiency, an exceptional customer experience and drives growth. Providing excellence in technology, transformation, MI and IT innovation, we also develop solutions for business strategies, transformation and change initiatives. The Role
Your main responsibility will be to manage the delivery of one or more projects within the Business Finance business unit. Most projects include elements of both business and IT change.
Business Finance processes include the application for funding, processing and decision making, through to payout of funds, for small and medium sized business customers.
Business Finance systems include Web based front end 'portals' integrated with more traditional middle and back office systems.
Most Business Finance systems are bought-in packages, configured and/or customized to meet Aldermore requirememts. In house development is limited to System Integration, MI and some web content.
Your responsibilities will include:-
* Manage one or more projects end to end, through startup, Initiation, requirements analysis, technical delivery, business implementation and transition to business as usual service.
* Ensure the project is managed within the time, cost and scope agreed during Initiation or through Change Control.
* Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID).
* Tailor as appropriate, then follow, the Aldermore project management/governance process, (Aldermore Delivery Framework, ADF), which includes stages/gates/checkpoints, mandatory artefacts, funding requests, change requests, financial and status reporting.
* Produce and maintain realistic project plans (usually in MS Project) and financial trackers (usually in MS Excel).
* Manage 3rd parties for their delivery.
* Provide regular and accurate reports and communication to internal and external business and technical stakeholders as appropriate (usually in MS Word and MS Powerpoint).
* Secure and matrix-manage people, such as Business Analysts, Architects, SMEs, Testers, to produce the required project artefacts.
* Close projects and ensure lessons learned are recorded and communicated.
The Person
You will ideally have experience within the banking or financial services industry and have excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
You must be willing to work well under pressure and have the confidence to communicate with business and technical stakeholders. Have the ability to see a project through from the very beginning to the end.
Highly desirable skills and experience include:-
* Web based broker, dealer or direct customer facing portals.
* HP, Lease, Loan, Proposals, Credit, Underwriting, KYC/CDD, Payout, In-Life processes and systems.
* Systems Integration projects experience (new and existing systems, internal and external systems).
* Working with internal and third party suppliers of systems/services/solutions.
* Delivering change in the banking or financial services sector
