Core responsibilities:
* To assist the Asset Management Team in all aspects of delivery of the Council's planned investment and capital programmes;
* To carry out stock condition surveys for the Councils homes and corporate buildings;
* To evaluate the stock using the Decent Homes criteria to determine life cycle and condition;
* Evaluate risks in the building by using the Housing Health and Safety Regulations;
* Assess properties to ensure they are compliant with building industry regulations with regard to improving, refurbishing and maintaining the Council's housing stock;
* Ensuring the building and maintaining of effective relationships between the team, contractors, customers and stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of planned, improvement projects; work programmes;
* To carry out validation inspections of projects which have been created from the Planned Maintenance information;
* Designing and managing projects effectively including monitoring progress and controlling expenditure within budget;
* Ensuring standards and quality of work meet contractual performance requirements;
* Carry out EPC inspections on completed capital projects and to fill any gaps in the Councils data;
* Carry out evaluation of data held in the IT system to identified gaps and recommend actions to fill them;
* Responsible for making contact with residents where surveys or work is to be carried out and ensuring any special needs are identified and as far as possible catered for;
* Support the Asset Manager in creating the annual programme of work;
*Local Authority experience desirable
